No. Our members can be in recovery from eating disorders, depression, domestic violence, suicide attempt survivors, mental illness, gambling, etc.
Your application will be processed during 1 of our 2 Open Enrollment periods, September or March. After it has been reviewed, you will receive a Welcome Call to confirm your acceptance, review the details of your scholarship and answer any questions you may have.
There will be a mandatory orientation that you will attend before your scholarship can begin.
At the orientation, you will get the opportunity to meet your Host, all the other scholarship recipients and the greater NamaStay Sober community. You will receive an Orientation packet and schedule your first class at your studio during your orientation.
Yes, we encourage member referrals.
If you cannot attend the gym or studio at least 3 times a week, contact your Host to let them know. We understand that life comes up unexpectedly, so as long as you keep open communication with us, we can work things out.
NamaStay Connected events are our regularly scheduled (in person or online) get-togethers such as beach yoga, meditation workshops, community conversations and sober social events offered weekly or monthly. They are free or donation based and open to all NamaStay Sober members and guests. They are designed to strengthen the mind-body connection and NamaStay Sober community. Join our next event here.
NamaStay Sober Fundraising events are events geared towards raising funding for our organization and programming. Examples of fundraising events include Dodgeball and Fight for Recovery.
