Here at Bigger Life Adventures, we believe that yoga is for everyone — and that belief is exactly what drew us to our friends at NamaStay Sober. We’re thrilled to be partnering with them this year through a blog crosspost collaboration, and we couldn’t wait to shine a light on the incredible work they’re doing.

NamaStay Sober is a Boston-based nonprofit bringing free, accessible yoga and wellness programming to individuals in recovery and underserved communities. Their Executive Director, Allison Burke (who is also an Ayurvedic Health Counselor like me — kindred spirits!), shared a peek at what’s ahead in 2026, and it’s a lot to celebrate.Screenshot

    Free Programming, Growing Wider

NamaStay Sober has long served Boston neighborhoods and surrounding communities like Stoneham, Chelmsford, Revere, and East Boston, with FREE yoga and sober community programs! That’s amazing! This year, they’re expanding even further — adding Malden, Melrose, and Worcester County to the mix. More cities, more access, more healing for those in the Boston area.

    Six Years of Beach Yoga

This June marks six years of Beach Yoga in partnership with Save the Harbor, Save the Bay. Weekly Saturday morning classes return to Revere Beach at 9am, with new sessions coming to Wollaston Beach in Quincy and Nantasket Beach in Hull. Who’s living in this area! We hope you make it for us! Yoga on the water? Yes, please.

Annual Golf Tournament — June 17th

Their annual golf tournament returns on Wednesday, June 17th at the beautiful Overlook Golf Club — a day of fun, connection, and community in support of the NamaStay Sober mission. Registration is open now!

    Yoga for Recovery

One of NamaStay Sober’s most meaningful programs, Yoga for Recovery, brings yoga and meditation directly to addiction treatment centers and sober living homes. They’re always looking to connect with new facilities and recovery spaces — if you know of a program in the area that could benefit, reach out to them directly.

We are so inspired by NamaStay Sober’s commitment to making wellness accessible to those who need it most. Head over to their website to learn more, support their work, or get involved.
